Coastal Wellness Centers

Medical Cannabis Physicians located in Ormond Beach, FL & Orange City, FL

In these troubling times, we are pleased to offer the following new-patient special:
(This includes a physical, as well as a review of your medical history and records.)

The goal of medical cannabis physicians Joseph Rosado, MD, Kathryne Gunn, DO, Alyn L. Benezette, DO, and the team at Coastal Wellness Centers is to provide comprehensive medical cannabis treatment to everyone from pediatric to geriatric patients in and around Ormond Beach, and DeLand, Florida, and throughout Volusia County.

Founded by Dr. Neil Brown, Coastal Wellness Centers boasts a staff of certified on-staff physicians that can determine whether patients will benefit from the use of medical cannabis, particularly when other treatment options have failed. Some common conditions that the team uses cannabis to treat include cancer and chronic pain, along with many others.

The team has more than four decades of combined experience and provides a compassionate, noninvasive approach to care that boasts minimal side effects for adults and pediatric patients. Each of the medical cannabis physicians sets aside plenty of time to spend with each patient and develops an individualized treatment plan based on their qualifying conditions. When developing a treatment plan, the team takes several factors into account, including product selection, dosage, and potential drug interactions.

Before medical cannabis treatment begins, the Coastal Wellness Centers team guides patients through the process of obtaining a registry identification card. Afterward, they closely monitor treatment, making adjustments to an individual’s regimen as necessary. They also have extensive training navigating pediatric patients through their health care journeys.

The team’s extensive knowledge of medical cannabis and commitment to holistic, integrative treatment ensures men, women, and children receive the best possible care. If you’re interested in learning more about the benefits of medical cannabis for you or your child, make an appointment at Coastal Wellness Centers by calling the office or by clicking the online booking tool today.

 STEP 1

On your first visit, you will be evaluated by one of our state-approved certified physicians. Rest assured in knowing that our doctors are eminently qualified to determine whether medical cannabis is the right treatment plan for you. If our physician determines that you will benefit from medical cannabis, your information will be entered into the Florida Department of Health's compassionate use database.

 STEP 2

The state of Florida will then email you instructions on how to complete your registration. Should you need any help navigating the states' website, we will be more than happy to assist you. Once registration is complete, the state of Florida will send you an email notifying you of your acceptance into the states' program. (It takes 10-20 business days to receive this confirmation email. This email also functions as a temporary license while you wait for your physical card to arrive in the mail.)

 STEP 3

Once you receive your confirmation email, you will contact us to schedule your second visit. This visit is called the "recommendation appointment". During this visit, our doctor will sit with you to discuss the best possible treatment plans designed just for you. He will review different forms of administration, and respond to any questions or concerns you may have. You will then be free to visit a licensed dispensary to purchase your medication.
